Location and Climate

The Temprate Deciduous Forests are located in many regions.  Most of these forests are in the eastern United States, Canada, Europe, China, and Japan ("Temperate..." par. 4).  These regions have an average of 750 to 1500 mm of rain per year, that is equal to 29.528 to 59.055 inches of rain per year ("Temperate..." par. 2).  The Temperate Deciduous Forest is one of the only biomes that has four signifcantly different seasons.  It has a hot summer averaging around 30o celsius or 86o farenheit.  The winters are very different with an average of -30o celsuis or -22o farenhiet.  The yearly average temperature of this biome is 10o celsius, which is 50o farenhiet ("Temperate..." par. 1).
